A collaborative effort by five ministries in South Korea, including the Rural Development Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, the Forest Service, and the Korea Meteorological Administration, aims to safeguard bees from extreme weather and preserve ecosystems. This initiative, which includes a memorandum of understanding with various institutions for joint research, is focused on identifying new honey source species, enhancing bee robustness, and optimizing bee nutrition and management technology. The project aims to mitigate the effects of climate change on honey production and support beekeepers by improving the income stability of their industry.
