Brasília, 07/14/2025 - The median of the Focus report for inflation measured by the General Price Index - Market (IGP-M) for 2025 fell for the ninth consecutive week, from 2.25% to 2.18%. One month ago, it was 3.86%. The projection for 2026 remained at 4.50% for the fourth consecutive week.
The general price indices, from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), measure an aggregate of inflation for three groups: producers (wholesale, with impact of exchange rates and commodity variation), with a weight of approximately 60%; consumers, with 30%; and construction, 10%.
