The Food Industry Export Council, in partnership with the Commercial Representation Authority, is organizing an electronic seminar titled 'Opportunities for developing Egyptian food exports to China' on February 10, 2021. The event will focus on tapping into the Chinese market, with a population of 1.4 billion and the world's second-largest importer of commodities. In other news, the Export Council for Food Industries is planning commercial missions to Sudan, Tanzania, and other African markets to understand the demand for various food commodities. The total food industry exports to Tanzania from 2014 to 2019 were $11 million, with tobacco, sugar, and sunflower oil being the main exports.
