The article highlights the efforts of the Central Disaster Response Center and the Environmental Protection Agency in Taiwan to address the African Swine Fever issue. The EPA is working with 22 counties and cities to ensure the proper cleaning of public, restaurant, and institutional food waste during the epidemic period. The agency will establish a single service window and complete food waste removal contingency measures. Meanwhile, the public is encouraged to reduce food waste and properly dispose of meat products of unknown origin. Restaurants, institutions, and schools can continue their current food waste removal methods, and food waste cleaners and pig farms will receive the waste for free.
