The Lviv region in Ukraine has announced a subsidy for micro, small, and medium enterprises in the cattle breeding industry, as part of the Comprehensive Program for the Support and Development of Agriculture in the Lviv Region for 2021-2025. These businesses can receive up to UAH 30,000 per head for increasing their cow herd, with a total allocation of UAH 9 million for at least 300 increased cows. The subsidy is non-refundable and will be calculated based on the difference in the number of cows between April 1, 2022, and April 1, 2023. The application period for the subsidy is from April 1 to May 1, and businesses must ensure they do not reduce their total livestock number during the year.
