REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The President Director of Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, ensures the readiness of food support for the flood-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar) for the next 14 days. Bulog is preparing a total of 1,245,255 kilograms of rice to be supplied through the network of regional offices and branches in each affected area. This support is compiled based on the official submission from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of the three provinces. Bulog calculates the food needs based on the number of affected people and the standards for the distribution of government aid rice. The calculation of 250 grams per person per day for 14 days is the basis for the allocation distribution in each province. All stocks are already available in the regional Bulog warehouses and are recorded by the local work units.
