Peru has exported 26,480 tons of ginger and turmeric up to week 34 of this year, valued at US$ 51,604,559 FOB, which is a 44% decrease from the same period last year. North America, the main market with 61% of shipments, saw a 32% decline, while Europe, holding 38% of the share, experienced a 57% drop. Latin America, with a 2% share, saw a 106% increase. The top exporters are Blue Pacific Oils, JCH Agroexportaciones, Vancard Peru, Agronegocios La Grama, and Cooperativa Agraria Vancardbio Pichanaqui, with main importers being Global Farm Enterprises and Vision International. Organic ginger, making up 84% of exports, decreased by 33%, while conventional ginger, constituting 16%, fell by 70%.
