The Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) of Chile has approved the resumption of live horse imports from Argentina, following a successful audit by the Argentine National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa). The audit assured SAG that Argentina's computer system for recording and monitoring quarantine processes is reliable, meeting Chile's export requirements. This development is a result of collaborative efforts by Senasa, the National Bioeconomy Secretariat, and the National Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship. Argentina is a key supplier of horses for global markets, with the United States, UK, EU, UAE, Nigeria, Mexico, and Brazil among the main importers.
