Forest Service Plants Peace Trees in Ethiopian Conflict Zone…Complete Agroforestry

This project was promoted to help restore the forest and improve the livelihoods of local residents by planting income-generating tree species such as coffee trees in the Hawassa region, a border region of Ethiopia that has been devastated due to lack of proper management. As this project is directly related to income, the forest restoration area exceeded the original plan of 1,000 ha, reaching 1,369 ha.
