Cucumber growers in Netrakona's Kendua upazila are experiencing high yields and fair market prices, leading to increased interest in the crop. Around 300 acres of land in 13 unions has been dedicated to cucumber cultivation this year. However, high transportation costs due to poor road conditions are a concern. Cucumber farming is popular due to its profitability and low investment, with the crop selling for Tk 25-30 per kilogramme. The upazila administration supports the farmers and provides assistance as needed.
