The French government is providing 5 million euros ($5.41 million) in aid to its beekeepers who are grappling with issues such as stock buildup, foreign competition, climate change-related production losses, and the invasive Asian hornet. The funds aim to improve the cash flow of these beekeepers, while the government also plans to address the challenges they face. France, with over 71,000 beekeepers maintaining nearly 1.4 million beehives, is one of the largest honey producers in the EU.
