The French hazelnut sector suffered a significant drop in production in 2024 due to several factors (climatic and health) that significantly affected hazelnut yields and crop quality. There is a significant increase in pest pressure (particularly the Curculio elephas and the Curculio nucum) in the context of the restriction of plant protection products.
