Fresh asparagus accounted for 36% of the total volume exported by air from Peru between January and September

(Agraria.pe) Between January and September 2024, total Peruvian exports by air reached 64,306 tons, showing an increase of 2.8% compared to what was reported in the same period of the previous year. This was reported by the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (ComexPerú), which highlighted that in the first nine months of this year, the main products exported by Peru by this means belong to the agro-industrial sector, highlighting fresh asparagus, fresh mangoes, fresh blueberries, among others. In the first three quarters of 2024, shipments of fresh or refrigerated asparagus reached 23,191 tons, reflecting a drop of -7.4% compared to what was recorded in the same period of 2023. This product accounted for 36.06% of the total shipped by air.
