December 23, 2025 Starting from 2026, Ukraine will implement updated regulations for grape growers and winemakers aimed at harmonizing the industry with European standards and simplifying business operations. The relevant changes are provided for by a new law and subordinate acts currently being prepared by relevant agencies, writes "ProAgro Group." In particular, the new rules will concern the registration of vineyards, the accounting of plantings, the traceability of the origin of grapes and winemaking products. There are also plans to improve the system of geographical indications and quality control of wines, which should enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian products both on the domestic and foreign markets. For small and craft producers, simplified reporting and licensing procedures are provided, which should reduce the administrative burden and stimulate the development of local winemaking.
