As part of a working trip, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Zhanel Kushukova arrived in the East Kazakhstan region, where she held a meeting with business representatives and inspected the activities of key export-oriented production facilities operating on a full production cycle, reports the APK News Agency.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Trade, special attention was paid to the enterprise TOO "Altai Mai" – a modern multicultural full-cycle complex for processing oilseed crops and producing oils. The plant has a production capacity capable of processing approximately 169 thousand tons of raw materials annually. The raw materials for processing are mainly local oilseed crops – sunflower and rapeseed seeds – grown in the regions of East Kazakhstan and nearby areas.
The press service reported that from December 2025, the plant will start producing up to 74 thousand tons of vegetable oil (including 1.2 thousand tons of refined oil) and 64 thousand tons of meal per year.
