From November 3, vegetable growers can apply for aid for winter spraying.

From November 3 to November 25, 2025, farmers can apply for support under the scheme "Aid for compensating the costs of farmers related to the implementation of measures under the National Program for the control of pests on permanent crops during the winter period." The budget for the state aid for 2025 is 10,000,000 BGN. It aims to minimize the losses of farmers from the spread of pests on permanent crops (seed and stone fruit species, strawberries, raspberries, and rose hips). The aid is provided in two stages – spring and autumn. The funds provided now for the second stage cover part of the costs of fruit growers for plant protection products used in the autumn. These are applied during the period of mass leaf fall and leaf decay. Farmers receive up to 140 BGN per hectare with VAT for purchased products for pest control.
