Subzero temperatures and snowfall in Serbia and Poland have caused significant damage to orchards and plantations, with the Sumadi region and western Serbia, which produces about 40% of the country's fruit, being particularly affected. The damage, which affects various fruits including plums, cherries, and raspberries, is estimated to have destroyed harvests ranging from 230,000 to 250,000 tons. The total harvest this year is projected to be around 1,250,000 tons, weather permitting.
