On August 17, 2024, the Obour Market saw stable fruit prices with a slight increase of 3-5 pounds per kilo in retail. The prices for various fruits such as grapefruit, Banati Asif and red grapes, crimson, black grapes, Egyptian apples, guava, cantaloupe, and mangoes (Timor, Zubaidi, local, Fons, Fas, Dabsha, Sadika, Golk, Sukkari, Calf egg, Sinara, Fajr Kalan, Tommy, Kit, and Kent) ranged from 13 to 80 pounds per kilo depending on the type. In addition, the state has been making significant efforts to boost exports by opening new markets, updating laboratories, and developing the agricultural quarantine system. Currently, about 350 agricultural commodities are exported to 160 markets.
