The San Antonio International Terminal (STI) has begun its cherry export season with plans to send 15 Cherry Express ships, representing almost 50% of Chile's total cherry exports. Despite challenges from adverse weather conditions, industry leaders are optimistic about the season and expect to ship slightly fewer boxes of cherries compared to the previous year. The demand for Chilean cherries, considered a symbol of good luck and prosperity during the Chinese New Year, continues to grow in the Asian market.
