A ceremony was held to mark the first shipment of Jeongseon Snow Plums, with 500 boxes (2.5 tons) being sent out. The cultivation of this crop, an alternative for high-altitude vegetables, has expanded to 73 hectares across 71 farms in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. The current production forecast for this year is 520 tons, a increase of 100 tons from the previous year. The snow plums, grown at specific altitudes, have a sugar content of at least 13 Brix.
