GACC issued requirements for the export of Polish beef to China

At the end of May 2017, the World Organization for Animal Health (then OIE, and now WOAH) granted Poland a status with a negligible risk of bovine spongiform encephalopathy, known mainly as BSE (and colloquially as mad cow disease). The opening of the Chinese market took 6 years Immediately after this decision, the Polish Minister of Agriculture and the Chief Veterinary Officer took action to open closed beef markets. From the very beginning, the Polish government also focused on China as one of the most attractive export markets. It turned out, however, that the Chinese government did not respond to the requests and efforts of the Polish side. And so, for six years, successive ministers of agriculture and chiefs of veterinary medicine took action to open up China. The chance to change this state appeared at the end of 2022.
