During the 8th China International Import Expo, COSCO Shipping Group held the "From Qiancai to Shanghai: Cooperation and Development Promotion Conference for the New Asia-Latin America Land-Sea Channel in the New Era."
Currently, it marks one year since the official opening of Qiancai Port. The new Asia-Latin America land-sea channel around Qiancai Port has already opened three main lines and four branch lines. Data shows that since its opening and operation, Qiancai Port has cumulatively handled 237,000 TEUs of containers and approximately 1,115,700 tons of bulk and miscellaneous cargo. According to Peruvian customs data, from January to September 2025, Qiancai Port's export trade amounted to 603 million USD, and import trade amounted to 984 million USD.
At the promotion conference, COSCO Shipping Group and its subsidiaries, including COSCO Shipping (South America), COSCO Shipping Logistics, COSCO Shipping Port (Peruvian Qiancai Terminal), COSCO Shipping Special Transport, and COSCO Shipping Logistics Peru, signed five letters of intent and memoranda with multiple partners from the automotive, photovoltaic, and agricultural product industries.
COSCO Shipping Logistics Peru signed a "Peru Fruit Pre-Inspection and Traceability Entering Chinese Living Room Cooperation Letter of Intent" with the fruit and vegetable enterprise Camposol. COSCO Shipping Logistics Peru will leverage fruit pre-inspection and traceability products to assist Camposol in entering the Chinese market, ensuring fruit food safety and full-chain traceability, and improving import clearance efficiency.
