(Gangjin=Yonhap News) Gangjin County in Jeonnam Province is recruiting tenants for its farming smart complex to provide a platform for the growth of young farmers until the 24th.
The crops being recruited for cultivation are strawberries (2 houses) and tomatoes (1 house), and the smart farm facilities include an automatic nutrient solution supply system, a heat supply facility (air heat heating and cooling system), and a CO₂ generator, among other complex environmental control systems.
The recruitment targets are three young people aged 18 to 45, who are either planning to operate independently or have been independently operating for three years or less and must reside in Gangjin County.
For those planning to operate independently, applicants living outside the county can also apply, but they must transfer their address to Gangjin County before concluding a lease agreement when selecting the business recipient.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Gangjin County Agricultural Technology Center website, filling it out, and submitting it in person at the Agricultural Technology Center or by registered mail.
Director Choi Young-ah of the Gangjin County Agricultural Technology Center said on the 20th, "We will do our best to help young farmers who lack experience in settling in agriculture gain practical experience in smart farms and successfully settle in agriculture in the future."
