According to the Conjunctural Report released this Thursday (9) by Emater/RS-Ascar, the barley crops in Rio Grande do Sul are performing well, with the majority of the plantations in reproductive stages: 21% in heading, 70% in grain filling, and 5% at the beginning of maturation. The weather, with alternating rains and firm periods, has favored the development of the crop, although the high humidity in some regions may increase the pressure of head diseases.
