The proposed General Law on Animal Welfare in Mexico is close to becoming a reality after 13 years of legislative efforts. The law, which is currently being reviewed by the necessary commissions, aims to regulate animal welfare in various sectors, including the livestock industry. It is believed that the law will ensure the highest quality protein for consumers by implementing standards and practices that prevent animal suffering throughout the production process.
