Georgia's apple market is experiencing a record harvest of 130,000 tons, but exports are falling short of expectations with a 12% decrease from the previous season and 55% lower than the record-breaking 2020 season. Despite this, exports have seen a monthly increase in the first three months of the 2022 season, with November exports being 65% higher than October. The majority of the exports were to Russia. However, only 2% of the crop was exported in the first three months of the 2022 season, with the rest being stored to prevent market flooding. Wholesale prices in Georgian markets remain stable.
