In Frankfurt they rose very strongly for Spanish product and Munich also reported price increases of up to 100% during the week. In some cases, prices rose several times a day. In Hamburg, traders responded to the increased demand; they simply placed fewer orders as buyers became reluctant due to high prices. Rising prices were also observed for mini cucumbers from Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, although not nearly to the same extent as for regular cucumbers.
