Geumsan County Agricultural Center leads free shredding support for autumn agricultural by-products.

[Nongsuchuksan Newspaper=Reporter Kim Jeong-hee] The Geumsan County Agricultural Technology Center (Director Kim Hong-gi) has launched a free agricultural by-product shredding support program in the fall to prevent the illegal burning of agricultural by-products such as chili stems, perilla stems, and pruned branches of fruit trees, which occur after autumn farming, and to reduce forest fires and fine dust generation. According to the center, this program aims to prevent the illegal burning of by-products that occur in large quantities during the autumn harvest and involves a shredding support team visiting applicant farms to shred the by-products for free. This support is planned to run from October 13 to the end of December, and applications can be made through the Agricultural Technology Center or the administrative welfare centers of townships and villages.
