The sunflower harvest has started in areas of Rio Grande do Sul, as reported in the Conjunctural Information released by Emater/RS-Ascar on Thursday (1). In the administrative region of Bagé, producers from São Borja have begun to remove the crop from the field, with about 20% of the crops already having completed the cycle. The cultivated area in the municipality totals 2,000 hectares, with an expected productivity of 1,800 kilograms per hectare and a price around R$ 125.00 per 60-kilogram bag.
