The hazelnut market in the Black Sea region is experiencing active days. As of October 1, 2025, the price of a kilogram of hazelnuts in the free market ranges between 300-350 TL, with Giresun hazelnuts, known for their quality certification, leading the market. While the average price per kilogram in the free market across all provinces in the region is determined to be 344 lira, Giresun stands out with a price of 352 lira. In the free market, hazelnut prices in Giresun start from 347 TL and go up to 352.50 TL. This figure is attributed to the privileged position of Giresun hazelnuts, known as the highest quality hazelnuts both in Turkey and the world.
