Over 200 experts and policymakers are convening at the Blue Food Forum in Tanzania to discuss the transformative potential of aquatic value chains in global food systems. The event, hosted by Tanzania and the fish value chain development programme, aims to tackle issues such as malnutrition, poverty, and environmental degradation. Highlighting the FISH4ACP projects in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, the forum underscores their role in enhancing food security, economic growth, and job creation. Supported by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the initiative stresses the need for collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable and inclusive fisheries and aquaculture, as emphasized by Andreas Schaumayer from BMZ.
