The USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service report predicts a rise in the global production of apples, pears, and table grapes for the marketing year 2023-2024. Apple production is expected to increase due to higher contributions from the United States and China, with exports also set to rise, primarily driven by the United States and Iran. Pear production is projected to grow, largely due to an increase in supply from China, despite a decline in fresh pear acreage in the United States. Table grape production is forecast to see a fifth consecutive year of growth, despite a predicted decrease in exports from Peru, the United States, and Turkey.
