Goiás has 19 farms that supply certified pig breeders throughout Brazil

In Goiás, there are 19 Certified Swine Breeding Farms (GRSC) that follow strict biosecurity and health control standards, essential to guarantee the genetic quality and health of the swine breeders. The Goiás Agricultural Defense Agency (Agrodefesa) is the agency responsible for certifying these establishments every six months, which are now considered a benchmark in the production chain in terms of quality, especially regarding animal genetics and biosecurity measures and actions, ensuring the health of the farm's herd. The sale and/or distribution of pigs for breeding are only permitted when the animals come from GRSC.
