Goods for state reserves will be exempt from VAT and customs duties when imported into Tajikistan

The Government of Tajikistan has instructed to approve the list and volume of food products, mineral fertilizers, diesel fuel and gasoline imported into the republic in 2024 on a preferential basis for the formation of state reserves. The supply of the above products is carried out by the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. Asia-Plus reports this. The Government Decree, published on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice, instructs to approve the list and volume of food products, mineral fertilizers, diesel fuel and gasoline that are exempt from VAT and excise taxes in the amount of 50% of the established rate, as well as completely exempt from customs duties.
