The Federal Government will purchase açaí, grapes, coconut water, honey, mangoes, fish, and nuts directly from producers affected by the increase in United States tariffs. Acquired without the need for a tender, these items will be used in the school meals of public educational institutions, hospitals, university restaurants, and for the Armed Forces. The measure is already in effect and has no end date. This action will benefit family farmers and companies that have stopped exporting to the United States due to the tariffs imposed by the U.S. government. The foods will be purchased with the budget already available in the school feeding programs (PNAE), food acquisition programs (PAA), and institutional purchases.
