REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The government through the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) is preparing to repair 89,000 hectares of damaged rice fields in Aceh as part of the post-disaster agricultural sector recovery. Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman said that the Kementan technical team will go to the field starting in January 2026 to map the conditions and follow up on the reconstruction of the affected land. The Kementan team will also conduct working visits to Aceh to directly monitor the development of rice fields together with the Aceh Provincial Government. This step is accompanied by the distribution of logistical aid and production facility support that has been sent to the region. “Insha'Allah, the agricultural sector, starting with the damaged rice fields, then there is coffee, will be repaired.
