The Foundation for Research Support of Alagoas (Fapeal) strengthens the science produced in the state by awarding researchers who excel in their publications in high-impact scientific journals. Among the recipients of the Academic Excellence Award is Denisson Lima, a doctoral student from the Graduate Program in Agronomy (PPGA) at the Federal University of Alagoas (Ufal), who is dedicated to studying the genetic control of salinity tolerance in tomato plants.
