The Grain Union of Kazakhstan reported an increase in grain prices. This upward trend is observed both in the domestic market and in export directions, reports the agency APK News. As reported by the head of the Analytical Committee of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Yevgeny Karabanov, last week, prices in the domestic market strengthened for wheat and barley: wheat of the 5th grade increased by 2 thousand tenge; wheat of the 4th grade increased by 1 thousand tenge; wheat of the 3rd grade with gluten content of 23-24 increased by 1 thousand tenge; wheat of the 3rd grade with gluten content of 25-26 increased by 1 thousand tenge; barley increased by 1 thousand tenge. The reasons for the price increase were named as the intensification of demand from exporters, due to the lifting of the ban on loading to Central Asian countries and the weakening of the tenge against the US dollar.
