The Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange has reported a deterioration in the condition of Argentina's soybean and corn crops. The soybean crop, which was previously 3% in good or excellent condition, now has only 2%. The normal condition of the crop has decreased from 37% to 31%, while the fair or poor condition has increased from 60% to 67%. High temperatures have caused pod abortion and early completion of filling. The early corn harvest is progressing, but yields are lower than expected, with the crop in good or excellent condition decreasing from 9% to 6%, and the normal condition increasing from 40% to 38%. The fair or poor condition has increased from 51% to 56%.
