Grape and fruit growers affected by spring frost damage may receive extraordinary support.

Thanks to the successful Hungarian agricultural lobby, Hungary will receive a support of 10.8 million euros, equivalent to 4.2 billion forints, from the European Union to assist producers affected by spring frost damage. Any vine and fruit producer with verified damage exceeding a 30 percent yield reduction will be eligible for this support, in addition to the damage relief allowance, announced Agriculture Minister István Nagy.
