Grape harvest advances with attention to diseases

According to the Conjunctural Report, released by Emater/RS-Ascar this Thursday (25), the development of grapes shows distinct evolution among the regions monitored. In the administrative area of Erechim, the growth of the berries follows the expected pattern, with preventive treatments being carried out for disease control. The report states that "the forecast is for a very good harvest with high quality, if the climatic conditions remain favorable." In the Santa Rosa region, Emater/RS-Ascar reports that the load of well-formed bunches and berries is at a high level. However, there is a record of disease incidence, with anthracnose and downy mildew standing out, "which is manifesting in many plants, especially in the Niagara Branca."
