Greece is the second world exporter of table olives

Greece became a major power for another year in the export of table olives, which together with Spain cover 42% of the world exports. According to data from the International Olive Council, in June 2021, the unit value of exports outside the EU amounted to 274 euros per 100 kg (+ 2.4% compared to the previous month). Spanish exports of table olives reached 313,920 tons during the 2019/2020 harvest season, with an estimated value of 734.9 million euros, placing it in first place, followed by Greece with 153,125 tons and 518.9 million euros. It is followed by Portugal with 42,266 tons and 51 million euros and Italy with 22,081 tons and 75.3 million euros.
