If future politicians set themselves the goal of melting the alarming decline in the domestic production of fruits, vegetables, milk, and dairy products, it is high time to look among our neighboring Balkan countries, which over the past 20 years have become one of the main importers of agricultural production in our country. In this text, we will provide an example with Greece and its agriculture, whose economic indicators in recent years show constant growth, regardless of climatic changes. To do so, we will refer to an analytical report on the economy and agriculture of Greece for the period from 2020 to 2024, prepared by experts at the Center for the Promotion of Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture between China and the Countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CPCCACEE) and presented at the end of January 2026.
