Turkey: Green onion producers from Bilecik are satisfied with the prices

Green onions, which started to be harvested in Bilecikin Söğüt and İnhisar districts, are pleasing to the producers with their price. The producers, who go to their fields with their family members in the early hours of the morning, continue their work in the villages of Çaltı and Yakacık in Sakarya Valley, with the participation of daily workers. Hüseyin Yıldırım, the head of the Yakacık village, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they are hopeful for the season. Stating that the green onion, which is among the winter vegetables, has started to travel from field to table, Yıldırım said: “The producers start working in the morning. They take home the onions they buy from the field and make them ready for sale. From there, they deliver it to the market area, and the sale is made there.
