The North Caucasus Federal District in Russia has seen a significant increase in its agricultural output, with the area under crops expanding and the gross harvest of rapeseed rising fivefold to 467.4 thousand tons. The region, which contributes a substantial portion of the country's grain, leguminous crops, rice, sugar beets, and oilseeds, has preserved 2.3 million hectares for winter crops to meet production forecasts for 2023. Additionally, the condition of 94% of crops is reported to be good to satisfactory, and preparations for field work are ongoing as usual.
