Groundbreaking ceremony for key infrastructure of Gangwon K-salmon industry

The Gangwon Global Headquarters recently announced that it is actively pushing forward with the creation of the K-salmon industry ecosystem, a core strategic business of Gangwon's Blue Economy, and swiftly establishing a blue food industry base connecting Gangneung, Chuncheon, and Yangyang. Gangwon Province is focusing its administrative capacity on creating key infrastructure to nurture the K-salmon industry as a future growth strategic industry for Gangwon, and facilities in Chuncheon and Gangneung are nearing completion. The Gangneung Smart Salmon Research Institute (testbed) and the Chuncheon Juvenile Salmon Production Center will finish construction this year and begin full-scale operations from early next year.
