The US Department of Agriculture forecasts a significant increase in Vietnam's corn demand, particularly for feed, which is expected to rise to 26.5 million tonnes in 2024 from 25.9 million tonnes, driven by the growth of the aqua feed sector. Corn consumption in Vietnam is projected to reach 14.1 million tons, with 12.7 million tons dedicated to feed purposes. Despite this growing demand, Vietnam's domestic corn production is predicted to fall to 3.65 million tons from 3.76 million tons, leading to a projected increase in corn imports from 10 million tons to 11 million tons for the 2024-25 period to meet the demand.
