The federal government releases on Wednesday (15) the list of municipalities whose farmers will receive, this month of April, a portion of the 2024-2025 Safra Guarantee program. The rule comes into effect this Thursday (16). The ordinance published in the Official Gazette of the Union includes family farmers from the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, and Sergipe. See the complete list here. The benefit, of R$ 1,200, will occur in a single installment. The payment starts in April and occurs on the same date as the Bolsa Família calendar. The Safra Guarantee is an insurance program aimed at small farmers with an income of up to 1.5 minimum wages, who cultivate beans, corn, or cassava in areas of 0.6 to 5 hectares and with an active and updated Family Agriculture Registry (CAF).
