Gyeongin Northern Fisheries Cooperative Releases 420,000 Young Pollack Fingerlings

The Gyeongin Northern Fisheries Cooperative (Chairman Lee Man-sik) conducted a rockfish fingerling release on May 26 in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon (photo). The event was attended by Ganghwa-gun Mayor Park Yong-cheol, Ganghwa-gun Fisheries Division Director Kim Yong-seon, Gyeongin Northern Fisheries Cooperative Chairman Lee Man-sik, Village Chiefs Park Yong-oh, Kim Dong-hyuk, Pyeong Bong-seok, and Park Yong-hyuk, along with local fishermen. The participants released 420,000 rockfish fingerlings obtained from Magne Seafood into the waters south of Jomun-do in Seodo-myeon using a boat. Chairman Lee Man-sik stated, "This release event for fishermen struggling with changing marine environments and depleted marine resources is aimed at recovering the marine resources and maintaining the health of our region."
