(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Kang Ae-ran = The Central Headquarters for the Response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (AI) announced that the H5 type AI antigen was confirmed at a laying hen farm in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, on the 16th.
The headquarters has deployed an initial response team to the farm, implementing quarantine measures such as access control, culling, and epidemiological investigations.
Additionally, a temporary movement restriction order has been issued for 12 hours for laying hen farms and related livestock facilities and vehicles in Hwaseong and Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs emphasized avoiding entry to areas where contact with the virus is possible, such as migratory bird arrival sites, and urged strict adherence to basic quarantine rules.
